Job Vacancy

Tiverton, the largest town in Mid-Devon with a population of about 22,000, is a market town surrounded by farmland and outlying villages. This is the community that Tiverton Vineyard Church wants to see thrive by actively playing our part in helping people to see that Jesus is real and relevant.

Since the inception of the church in 2012 we have built up strong links within our community through several initiatives, which currently include Breakfast and Lunch on the Go, sharing God’s love and provision through food; Uplay, our group for preschool children and their parents/carers; and through our involvement with the primary school where we meet on a Sunday. On a wider scale, we have good links with other churches in the town through occasional joint services, opportunities for prayer, and town-wide initiatives like the Arise Mission and Lifepath Tiverton.

Tiverton Vineyard church is a welcoming and authentic church of about 100 in total, comprising a wide range of ages including a high proportion of young families, and growing children’s and youth ministries. The majority of the adult congregation meet regularly in small lifegroups and we have a core group of committed intercessors. Vineyard values are part of our DNA, with a strong worship ethos and the desire for all that we do to be empowered by the Holy Spirit. We are committed to being family, loving God and celebrating life.

We are looking to appoint a senior pastor(s) with a strong biblical grounding who can build on the foundations laid down over the last 14 years and move forward with us in discerning the vision for this next stage in the life of our church. We are looking for the right person(s) with the relevant experience to develop the shared vision, and build up the committed volunteer, leadership and pastoral teams so that ultimately more people are brought into a living faith in Jesus and grow in discipleship and maturity.

If you feel that you might be the person(s) called to lead us on this journey, we would love to meet you!
